- Telephone Consultation: One of our Care Managers will speak with you over the phone to gather some basic information and to answer any and all questions you may have about HomeWell’s services specifically, or about in-home care in general. It is important to us that you feel informed and educated about your options, and that every opportunity is given for you to voice concerns or ask questions.
- No-Obligation In-home visit: At your convenience, one of our Care Managers will visit with you and your loved one(s) in the home or residence to assess your unique needs, and to begin developing an appropriate care plan that suits your requirements and your budget. Please see our Meet our Team page to learn a bit more about our Personal Support Workers and our Companions.
- Scheduling Care: Based on the required level of care and services, a Companion or Personal Support Worker will be chosen to meet your specific needs and services will begin as soon as needed.
- Shift Check-In: Your care provider will arrive on time, neatly dressed, and prepared for their shift. A brief satisfaction survey is conducted at the beginning and the end of each shift to make sure that we are consistently meeting your care needs.
Periodically, one of our Care Managers will connect with you to follow up on our services and to make sure that you are satisfied with both your present level of care, and with the care provider who has been working with you.

Tammy Pilon, Owner and Care Manager of HomeWell Care Services, provides compassionate care for seniors and their families. Tammy has been working with Seniors and their families in Durham since 2006 after spending over a decade in the legal field. She brings her years of experience working in, and managing, the day-to-day operations of a busy office to her work at Homewell.
Tammy specializes in solving issues that directly affect the family of seniors, providing them with peace of mind and solutions that fit their unique needs. Compassion and commitment to the happiness and security of every HomeWell client shines through in everything Tammy does, and is a guiding principle for the business as a whole.
As my own family members age, we are experiencing issues around numerous medical appointments, clarity on information from the doctors and struggles with household duties. My husband and I are not always available to assist as needed, this leaves us feeling guilty and anxious about their health and safety.
